Obama’s Enablers:
Thanks for Nothing, Vichy Republicans
President Obama has
proposed a $3,600,000,000,000 budget . . . and no, that's not a typo.
That's more than double what the federal budget was as recently as a
decade ago. That's roughly $13,000 for every man, woman, and child in
America. That's one-third of the value of all the goods and services the
entire U.S. economy produces annually ($11 trillion GDP). If you spent a
dollar a minute, it would take about seven million years to spend as
much as Obama proposes to in one year.
I understand if those
numbers cause your eyes to glass over and are scarcely comprehensible.
Heck, I was lucky to find a calculator that could generate enough digits
out to handle the computation. And while Obama is quite frankly insane
to think this is the least bit affordable, he's not who's most to blame
for this.
He certainly pushes
things several orders of magnitude beyond where they've gone before –
more on that below – but it wouldn't have been possible at all without
the Bush Administration and the GOP-led Congress of 2001-07 completely
abdicating their responsibility and ostensibly their supposedly
conservative beliefs by spending like madmen themselves. Most of the
doubling of the budget over the last 10 years was perpetrated by them,
in a cheap effort to stay popular and get re-elected. Which is to say,
to please a biased media effectively working for the Democrats.
And now, when Obama is
trying to foist outright socialism on America, they have no credibility
at all in trying to stop it. At minimum, their gutlessness in the face
of a smaller fight back then has resulted in having to wage a much
larger and tougher fight now in order to save the republic. Thanks a
lot, Bush, Hastert and Frist.
And a fight it will be,
make no mistake. Obama has made it quite clear that there is no length
to which he won't go to see this monstrosity implemented. Witness the
bald-faced lies he told during his Not Really The State of the Union
Address: That there were no earmarks in the “porkulus” bill (when in
fact there were thousands, comprising of the bulk of its content), that
his budget halves the deficit (puts it well above a trillion dollars
when Democrats previously blasted Bush for deficits just over $400
billion, or one-third as much), and on and on and on.
The Iraqi spokesman who
came to be known as “Comical Ali” in 2003 due to his ridiculous denials
of American troops being in Iraq even as they all but drove by in the
background didn't tell whoppers this brazenly. Even Bill Clinton is
going "Dang, and I thought I was pushing the limits of dishonesty with
'I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky . . .'"
That Obama does so with
such, ahem, audacity is an indication of just how much he knows the
media will cover for him. The strategy is simple: Sound like Reagan,
govern like Carter, count on the ignorance of the masses and the
propaganda of the media to ensure no one catches on. And if they do,
count on the hypocrisy of many – cut the other guy's program, but not
the one that benefits me – to cancel it out. What's unnerving is just
how likely it is to succeed.
Even more frightening
than that is the virtual fatwa of jihad Obama has issued against
success. His appeals to people's lowest jealousies and most overinflated
sense of entitlement in demagoguing "the rich" smacks of Weimar Germany
and blaming of "the Jews" for everything. (As this budget plus
entitlement obligations does to their massive World War I reparations
debt.) That genie will not easily go back into the bottle, once
recklessly unleashed.
Just what do you think
the half of America that's proud to be parasitic leeches entitled to a
comfortable existence entirely at someone else's expense is going to do
when either total insolvency or the outraged productive citizens finally
saying “enough is enough” inevitably results in their getting cut off?
Riot in rage and fury at the target Obama has pointed them toward all
along, of course.
And that doesn't even
begin to take into account the tentacles of totalitarian control that
come with every one of the dollars Obama spends, which is the real
purpose of it all.
This has to be stopped before it's too late. And to the Vichy
Republicans who made all this possible, thanks for nothing.
