You’re Voting for the Future, But Obama’s Past Matters

If you’re into change, regardless of the consequences, then Barack Obama is definitely your man. He has little competition for your vote because nobody else, including Hillary Clinton, can come close to his radical liberalism.

I hope you like San Francisco values, because that is exactly what you’ll get if Obama is the next president of the United States. Just because you’re a Democrat doesn’t mean you subscribe to an ultra-left-wing agenda. But that’s what you can expect from an Obama Administration. Oh, you doubt me? See my compiled list of reasons why below.

Obama is a bosom buddy of former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayres, a former FBI 10 Most Wanted fugitive who set off explosive devices at Capitol Hill, the Pentagon and the New York Police Department headquarters, and who in a New York Times interview published on September 11, 2001 said he had no regrets for his actions.

Obama sat on several speaking panels and boards with him, and considers him to be his friend. Huh? A viable president candidate is the friend of a ’60s radical who advocated the overthrow of the government? Yep.

Obama is also the undisputed, off the map, most liberal left-wing senator there is today based on his voting record in the Senate and the Illinois state legislature. He was born too late to be a ’60s radical, but he seems bent on transforming America into a socialist state.

Do you like Nancy Pelosi? Then you’ll love Obama. Still not convinced? OK, here’s the list.

You’ll love Obama if you believe that:

·     Blacks deserve generous government reparations.

·     Potential First Lady Michelle Obama, like most Americans, had no reason whatsoever to be proud of her country since adulthood until Barack Obama ran for president.

·     Illegal aliens should have drivers’ licenses.

·     Telecoms that cooperated with the government in the war on terror and helped prevent additional attacks should be sued by class-action attorneys.

·     Habeas corpus rights should be granted to enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay.

·     Moveon.org reflects mainstream American values.

·     Government creates prosperity, not free trade or capitalism.

·     The NRA is bad; the ACLU is good.

·     Health care should be socialized, and taxes should be raised to pay for it.

·     Abortion on demand is OK, including partial-birth abortion.

·     We must immediately withdraw from Iraq, regardless of the long-term consequences.

·     Raising taxes on Social Security, capital gains and corporations are good things.

·     Raising income taxes is a surefire way of reversing a recession and stimulating the economy.

·     Big oil and big businesses make obscene profits, which should be seized by the government.

·     The manufacture and sale of handguns should be banned.

·     Parolees should be allowed to associate with known criminals.

·     The Neville Chamberlain style of appeasement works every time it’s tried.

·     Rev. Jeremiah Wright should give the keynote speech at the Democrat convention.

Well, I made up the last bullet, but I don’t think diehard Obama supporters would argue against it.

After initially denying it, Obama reluctantly admitted he sat in Wright’s church through at least one of his many hate-America “sermons” and has been a member of Wright’s church for more than 20 years. He had his children baptized there and gave Wright over $27,500 for his screwball causes, which included traveling to Libya with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan to meet with Mohmmar Khadafy. So, if that’s the kind of president you want, Obama is absolutely your man.

I only caution you not to be so focused on future change that your candidate’s past becomes irrelevant. Obama’s past provides insights into the man’s character, morals, beliefs and true feelings.

Obama’s opponent in the general election is a proven American hero and patriot with many years of leadership and legislative experience who wants to keep lower taxes for all, cut wasteful spending, defend America from her enemies and expand economic opportunities for all.

But, the choice is yours. Hope you choose wisely.
